A BIG thank you to Mom and Kendra for helping me paint! I know how much you both love it! The project for this week (hopefully) is to paint the cupboards a cream color like the sign above the window.
The brown bagging also went bye-bye in the front room. Moment of silence. That was a difficult decision but it came down to not being able to paint along the edge of it. It was also looking quite nasty in the front window from kids' grubby little paws.
Unfortunately this has made me realize how little color I have on my walls and it pretty much necessitates drapes in the front room in the not too distant future (and maybe a tree in that there corner). Your two cents on a good color would be much appreciated (I'm thinking chocolate, but that could just be my stomach talking).
I've also rid my hallway of this eye sore!
I have hated these wall sconces from the day we moved in. I've ordered some online and am anxiously awaiting their arrival (a really early birthday gift to myself)!
I've also rid my hallway of this eye sore!
I'm thinking for the future of ridding myself of this other eye sore:
Pottery Barn has a lot cuter track lighting that I'll be needing to check out soon (Rose, keep those contacts).
I have more big plans for the kitchen as well (as the money trickles in...maybe next year?). I want to tear out the island and get one with casters and a concrete counter top...anyone handy with the lumber who would be willing to build this for me (personally, I think if Bret loves me enough, he'll do this for me).
And one day a white tile backsplash! This may happen sooner than later because I can't get it out of my head.
I can imagine Bret is just seeing dollar signs rolling out of our bank account right now! But don't worry, dear, all in good time.

Soooo....I am loving the blue. The yellow was so year 2000 ago. You need to call me. I have ideas for your cream cadinets that you must do. Call me, We'll Chat!!!
Cream cabs with chocolate glaze or BUST! ;) Todd and Bret don't know what they are talking about. Once Kristin has you settled on it and ready for the glazing call me and we'll do it! I'm over your oak cabs. Look at how sad they look against your counter and pretty blue walls... They gotta go!
Love the change over and I still have the contacts at PB. I'll sort you out.
Kristin are you saying that my yellow room is over?!! :) ;)
Wow, what a change! I think it looks fabulous though! And your plans for the cupboards and back splash sound great too! Good luck with all the projects!
Oh yay! It looks so good! I can't wait to see it on Thursday!
