More Miss Mae

Can you get enough of this girl? The answer is no, Greg, no you cannot. Name that movie!!
Anywho, another photo shoot with Kayleen behind the lens. They are, of course, cute as can be! I only wish I hadn't put this shirt on her, it stands out waaay too much. Oh well, lesson learned.

Here are my faves!
I love how Kayleen just snaps away catching all kinds of facial expressions! She really gets her subjects' personalities.

Say Cheese!

Or just eat cheese. Lots of it. And love it! Like Mabel does.
And she loves blueberries, too. She ate a handful (my handful, not hers) this morning before the cheese. Constipation here we come! Woohoo!

Another Funny...

I overheard Aiden tell the neighbor kid (name omitted for anonymity) his feet stunk...after asking the neighbor kid to step on his face??? I won't ask why, cause I don't want to know. He then said, "You smell like beef and cheese." Nothing like an Elf quote to put a smile on your face.

A Sunday Giggle

If you know me well, you know how I dread Sundays. I sit and wrestle three little kids all through Sacrament. And now, with 9 am church, I get the kids ready alone. Aiden and Grayson have been in rare form with their fighting lately. They were going at it this morning as I'm yelling at them to get ready for church. So I, of course, told them they needed to speak nicely to each other. I said, "Each of you need to say something nice to the other person right now."
Aiden: I'm sorry, Grayson.
Me: No, I mean say something nice about him; something you like.
Aiden: I like your style, Grayson.
Grayson: I like your Bakugans, Aiden.

I had to laugh. Not exactly what I was going for, but I guess I'll take it. It gave me a laugh and lightened the mood for all of fifteen minutes. Then it was back to the grind.

FASHION by Mabel

Beanie hat and Mom's jellies. Isn't she the next hottest thing?! I think she looks like she's dancing in the picture below. But actually, she's just trying to walk in the shoes. Oh Mabel, just wait until you're wearing heels.
Thank you, Aunt Kristin, for the beanie. It doesn't really fit anymore, but that doesn't keep her from rockin' it! She's always putting that thing on and she gets the biggest smile on her face EVERY time (no joke), because she knows she looks good!
*True story- Mabel just came walking in here as I'm typing this and guess what she's wearing??!

Leaves, Leaves, and More Leaves!

Our neighbors must love us! It took getting to this point to get us to clean up our leaves. But the kids had sooo much fun...it was tempting to just leave them.

Shelby? Is that you?

Remember the part in Steel Magnolias where Shelby decides to cut her hair. Short. Her mother, Malynn, says that would be "precious". And then Truvy does this hatch job on her head. And everyone in the audience is going, "What the...?" And not even her mother likes it, but she says she loves it anyway. And then Malynn just smiles and nods. Aaaawkward. It's best not to say anything. And maybe this is just my interpretation of the movie, but this is what I think about when I see this:

That's right, let your eyes get their fill.

And if you have to ask, No, I do not like it, not on my eggshaped head at least. No, Bret does not like it (although he won't admit it. But he's a bad liar. Always has been). But it's hair. It'll grow back. And I can laugh (and blog) about it. And in about 2 months time, it will be the length that I actually wanted it cut. Until then, just tell me it's "precious", smile, nod, and walk away.
At least my dad's not around to see this. I did this once before (yes, that's right) and he teased me for a month wondering why our co-ed softball team was allowed to have an extra guy on the team. Hey, I have my brothers for that though! There's always a silver lining.
