THREE!

Mabel turned three on the 20th, so we had a Little Miss party on Saturday. I'm kind of pooping out on the games (lame, I know) because it's so difficult to entertain a wide age range. We basically had a water balloon fight (Little Misses [+Bret...what a handsome little miss he was] vs. Mr. Men). It's all fun and games until the birthday girl cries! Hey! That weed is almost as tall as Mabel! Then the kiddos "Little Missed" or "Mr. Manned" themselves and colored pictures. This Kelsie girl is quite the artist!
Mabel scored a ton of goods! Books from the Boueys.

Grandma and Grandpa Yellow are away on a mission so they sent cash and Mabel picked out these puppies.

Dress ups from Uncle John and Aunt Rose. Mabel can't get enough of the shoes! She is truly a girl!Summer jammies from the Guerrero family. I can't get enough of these!A stinkin' cute swimsuit cover (of course, handmade by Kayleen) from Mo and an equally cute swimsuit.Grandma got her a scentsy lamb. The Cade Rowley family bought her a cute little outfit, coloring book, and sucker. Guess what she loved most? Not pictured are some hand sewn fruits and veggies from the Ericksons (ahem, Rene'). Again, stinkin' cute! And I forgot to get a pic with all the kiddies like I usually do! I'll be honest, I was lucky to get any pictures because I didn't think about it. Luckily my SIL, Diana, did! THANK YOU! I hope you had a happy birthday, Mabel!

My Work is Done.

Grayson told me today he wanted to be a daddy when he grows up. I asked him how many kids he wanted. He said, "I don't know, Five? Seven?"
Aiden chimed in and said he wanted four...two girls and two boys. Grayson asked him what he would name them and Aiden said, "When I get a wife, we'll talk it over."

Good boy!! Always check with the wife first. I've taught him well.

After thinking a while he said, "If my wife likes it, I'll have twin girls named Daisy and Bella. And the boys will be Jack and Dash, if she likes them."

I like how often he says "if my wife likes it". More men should do this. And side note: How 'bout that Incredibles name?! "Dashell Robert Parr!!!!" THE DASH LIKES!

Hecho en New Me-hico!

Last weekend we went to visit mi hermana en New Mexico! Something about the word "Mexico" makes me want to habla the Espanol muy, muy mucho! I don't know what it is...

The special occasion...

...this little dude's baptism!

Mr. Tommy Tompkins turned 8 in June!
We went to Flying Star (I think that was the name) where Landon and Kristin treated us to a yummy dinner. We had tri-tip sandwiches. Landon's dad cooked us some Spanish food...when in New Mexico. We ate and we ate and we ate. You know that's my kind of vacation! The kids played with their rarely seen cousins. We played games. We visited New Mexico's Rainbow pool. The kids had a great time (as did Bret and I)! Thanks for the hospitality, Skinners! And congratulations Tommy! We're proud of you!

Airplane Flat

We hit the road again for another camping trip about two weeks ago. We headed back up to my old familiar stomping grounds! I think I have more fun camping here than anywhere else because it's familiar and has great memories!

We took along some friends, the Ericksons and the Robisons.

We spent our time playing games, rock hopping at the creek and swinging in the tree swing.

Gray as none too happy about being left behind by his fellow rock hoppers.

Not even the filth could keep Gray from sucking his thumb.Sadee soaked her shirt at the creek so she ditched it for some drying time. Some type of bird Bret spotted while looking for elk..

What a great time!
