If you know me well, you know how I dread Sundays. I sit and wrestle three little kids all through Sacrament. And now, with 9 am church, I get the kids ready alone. Aiden and Grayson have been in rare form with their fighting lately. They were going at it this morning as I'm yelling at them to get ready for church. So I, of course, told them they needed to speak nicely to each other. I said, "Each of you need to say something nice to the other person right now."
Aiden: I'm sorry, Grayson.
Me: No, I mean say something nice about him; something you like.
Aiden: I like your style, Grayson.
Grayson: I like your Bakugans, Aiden.
I had to laugh. Not
exactly what I was going for, but I guess I'll take it. It gave me a laugh and lightened the mood for all of fifteen minutes. Then it was back to the grind.
