Aiden went back to school yesterday. He is now in second grade. It's amazing how much he has changed. He's getting to be such a grown up!
Aiden did his own hair. I went into the bathroom and he had put about 3 tons of gel in it and slicked it off to the side.
No matter, his hair is trained to go right back to the way it always is. By the time it dried, it would be right back down over his forehead. See, it's already starting...
We walked Aiden to school. He was none too happy. We had promised him he could ride his bike this year. But we wanted him to walk the first day...it calmed my nerves a little. Here was his reaction.
Heartbreaking, I know. But I wasn't ready for the biking just yet. Not with the chaos of that first day of school traffic.
Bret went into work late so we could all walk with Aiden. Even Oscar came along.
We made good on our promise and let him ride his bike this morning. We'll see how it goes.
Now we just have to settle back into the old school routine.

Love that Aiden did his own hair. You are a very nice Mom to let him do it. Nathan keeps doing his hair and my pridefulness usually tweeks it a little. I am so with you on first day traffic craziness.

He was not happy for school but at least he does his hair... Tommy either has Mom do it because he hates to do it or goe to school with Bed HEAD!
