The Evolution of a Club

It's Spring Break so for my sanity's sake we have spent A LOT of time outside. Aiden and the neighbor kids (actually, neighbor Mike) assembled a fort. They have spent much of their time in that thing thus far. It looks like the Ericksons have a hobo living on the side of their house.

The kids have also changed the name of this fort/club about 100 times. Okay, only four that I can think of. It started out as:
A modest 2 bedroom clubhouse. They were all given the secret code which was written on their forearms. In marker. Awesome.
And there's nothing like sitting in "The Kids Club" and sharing a box of Apple Jacks! Looks more like it should be called "Transient Town".
It then changed to "The Masters". They grabbed some more pallets and added a room. Then Shelby (neighbor girl with some drama on her, she's truly hilarious...we "adults" love to goad her) came out with a bowl of tuna fish and a slice of bread. They devoured this inside their little shack (all 10 of them?) which inspired the name:
As you can see, they still have openings for members. Are you a tuna lover?
Should you join, you must abide by their rules:I of course, am not able to abide by rule #5, so I am not eligible. I love the word freakin' too much. But I say Frickin'...do you think they'll discern the difference? The boys then broke off from the girls and named their club "The tuna, doughnuts, and video game lovers". Do you think there's some copyright infringement going on?

Later, neighbor George from across the street said we could have some of his citrus if we would come pick it. And so we did! I needed some more lemons for juicing and freezing to get me through the fast arriving Arizona summer. We found some peculiar fruit. What does this remind you of?

That's right! A fish. Yeah, yeah, they don't look exactly the same, but you get the idea. By the by, this is Swimmers, Aiden's current obsession.

And check out this mammoth amazon lemon:Okay, so the picture doesn't do it justice, but trust me...this thing is huge! It does dwarf Mike's hand though.

Oh man, those were the days!!! Forts are the best. I like the box fan and sheets fort. You remember that don't you?

And about those lemons....in the words of Phil Hartman...."When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and then throw it in the face of the person who gave you the lemons until they give you the oranges you originally asked for?"
LOVE IT!!!

P.S. Should we be concerned about the "Tuna Lovers" name?

My sentiments exactly. I busted a gut when I read that sign!

'Tuna Lovers' is great. As long as they don't change it to 'Hot Dog Lovers'

I didn't know you had a desire for lemons. We have a tree and I have been trying to give mine away, sorry they are gone now. Maybe next year. Yeah to Club Houses.
