I've started a blog to make my sister, Kristin, happy!
Actually I just figure this is the best way to keep in touch with those whom I don't get to see often enough and even a few that I do. I'll try to keep it updated but I gotta admit I created this page about a month ago and never posted anything, so it's not looking too promising so far!
Anyhow, what better way to start my blog than with my FAVORITE holiday! I say that but Halloween actually kind of snuck up on me this year. I didn't even put up any of my Halloween decorations (even though Aiden asked me to do it about 4 times). I know, loser mom, but I promise it will NEVER happen again! The kids were lucky to get costumes okay, I actually used hand me downs for the first time.
Aiden was a SCARY mummy (thanks Sarah!). He is starting to have an opinion these days about what he wants to be. I'm not sure if I should be excited or disappointed. I have always looked forward to picking out his costumes and he had to go and get an opinion of his own, the nerve! I can't wait until I can do some serious make up though. I saw some cool stuff on MarthaStewart.com but figured he was a bit young for it just yet!

Grayson was a monkey. A very GRUMPY monkey. We'll call him a rabid monkey for the sake of Halloween. I volunteered to help at Aiden's fall festival so he had a late nap that I had to wake him from. It wasn't pretty. He couldn't stand to wear the head piece. He just doesn't grasp the concept of annoying costume+"Trick-or-treat"= FREE candy! Oh well, maybe next year will go over better.
And last but certainly not least...Hold onto your seats. I think I may have found the most adorable costume (again on MarthaStewart.com...get used to it, I use it A LOT). Mabel was an ANGRY little lamb. I know I've been a bit harsh on the cutesy Halloween costumes in the past, but I was given a girl; what was I to do? Her face is pretty scary in the first picture, no? We lost her black tights between the trunk or treat and Halloween night, so I was going to go without. And then I got a brilliant idea and used some of Aiden's socks, but by that time she was MAD, so I'm posting the two pictures. She wasn't angry all night. I didn't get the nose black on until later. Things were a bit hectic at the Rowley house what with a screaming monkey and questioning mummy, so no pictures of the finished product. But take my word for it, she was stinkin' cute!

And here is a picture of my 3 Ghastly Ghouls! Can you feel the love? At least Aiden was cooperative...he's even waving to all of you!
